The Ascension Lavender Hill is a welcoming community parish. We would be more than happy to help facilitate a Baptism, Wedding or Funeral, for either yourself or a loved one.

BAPTISMS
The Sacrament of Baptism is the first of the seven sacraments, through which an individual is initiated into the Christian faith.
Due to the intrinsically communal nature of an individual joining the community of faith, Baptism at the Ascension, Lavender Hill is celebrated within the context of the Sunday Mass.
If you are thinking of having your child baptised, or desire yourself to be baptised please speak to the parish priest after a Mass, or contact him for more information.
WEDDINGS
Weddings - Can be celebrated at the Ascension Lavender Hill, provided that at least one of the persons to be married can demonstrate a legal connection to the parish. This includes:

Living in the Parish (Check your postcode on achurchnearyou.com).
Worshiping at the Ascension.
Having been Baptised/Confirmed at The Ascension.
Having another legally recognised family connection.

Banns of Marriage - If you are to be married in another parish church but are resident in our parish, you will likely need to have your Banns read before you can legally be married elsewhere. Our parish priest can help with this. He can be contacted here.
FUNERALS
Dealing with the bereavement of a loved one can be challenging and our parish priest can offer pastoral support and ministry. This could include offering prayers for the departed, offering a Mass for the soul of your departed loved one and/or including your loved ones name in the intercessory years mind.
Funerals can also be arranged at the Ascension, Lavender Hill in conjunction with local funeral directors.
